Still nursing sore hamstring
Exercise: Precor elliptical - 34 minutes, 428 calories, 3.25 miles. Yesterday, 75 pushups, 100 stomach crunches.
3 full court basketball games at Berachah gym.

How do you like the Precor? That is what I use when I go to the gym.I do the intervals,cross train @10,resistance 8, then cross train @ 8, then resistance 4.I had to go up a 4 so I could get my hear rate up.
Rae, while it's better than nothing, it really doesn't compare to running, although it is still a calorie burner! I start out at elevation of 8, resistance of 6. Each 3 minutes I increase the resistance and each 5 I increase the elevation. After 35 minutes, I'm still not that winded. Also, perhaps you know this, but you lose much of the training effect if you hold on to the bars as your run. You should ideally use your balance and not hold onto the bars and treat it more as a running motion.
I have got to where I do not hold on the machine.
I will have to give that a try. :)
