Basketball Day

Exercise: 2 hours full court basketball at Berachah gym.

Lifted weights at UAH Fitness Center:

Jump rope : 270 reps
cross-legged crunches : 145 reps
bench press machine : 230 pounds, 3x11 reps

Workout cut short to help John S. time his run around the indoor track.

Just reading your workout is tiring. I'm very impressed.

Your post on Jonathan's blog today was interesting. Part of me is glad to see someone else pointing out the problems but part of me is sad too because I'm sure that this is all really difficult for him.

If I had the magic answer to solve his motivation problems I would use it but I have no idea how to motivate someone else. I have enough trouble motivating myself to keep to goals. :-)

Thanks, Kate, I've just always really enjoyed exercise and challenging myself. It really has to become something you like to do. I actually feel very moody and guilty if I don't do some sort of strenuous workout on a daily basis. I just turned 45 and definitely feel the aches and pains a little more than I used to, but at least I'm glad to know I'm not part of the "video game" generation!.

Yes I so agree and I have both of my kids out running. since the 13k they both want to do more runs and I will make it happen. Yrs it keeps them from in front of the tv.
