Ran the HTC Scholarship 8K a couple of weeks ago - my first race in two years. Started out a little too fast and faded in the 3rd mile. Finished in 34:29 - 6:54 per mile. Need to knock 30 seconds per mile off that to break 40:00 in a 10K. Will be hard to get back there, but I'm gonna try. Been doing extensive hill work with Carl Smith and throwing in some 3-5 mile tempo runs during the week as well. No pain at all from the resurfaced hip.
