Longest ride yet

Did 40.29 miles on Redstone Arsenal this AM in 2:42:07 (4:01 per mile). A little slow, but had several turnarounds and left the bike in the same gear for the entire trek (both uphills and downhills).

On Saturday I did 1 hour (12 miles) of hills near my house (30 hills total) on my Walmart Mongoose special trail bike - as long as you're pumping hard it doesn't matter what type of bike, right? :)

No it does not matter what type of bike it is. I have a commuter road bike and I use it in the races. E has a mountain bike and he rides it all over too.
You are doing great. How was the doctor visit.

Got to have surgery on November 4 - then 6 more months rehab until running again. Hope your racing is going well - keep it up - you are the REAL inspirational TVer!
